Mr. Bradley De Bow is in his second year teaching at Plainview School. He has taught for six years in Alabama and
also has taught previously in California, Louisiana, and most recently in Little Rock, Arkansas. He recieved his Bachelor
of Music in Instrumental Education from California State University Long Beach and a Master of Music degree in Music Composition
from Lousisiana State University.
Mr. De Bow has had a varied career in music and education. Many of
the students he has taught in the past few years have gone on to study music at colleges and universities and several
have pursued music education in college. Mr. De Bow believes this is to be the highest honor and reflection of a director.
He has also performed throughout Louisiana, Central Arkansas, and Southern California and has had his music performed and
premeierd by several different ensembles and artists in these areas. Most recently he was asked to write a fanfare for
the Academic Scholarship signing for the historic Little Rock School District, and two pieces for the dedication of a
Baseball Park in West Little Rock. His work for Chamber ensemble "A Ladder Was Set Upon The Earth" was chosen as the sole
student work for the L.S.U. 55th Annual Festival of Contemporary Music. As an educator, he enjoys the opportunity to
work with and direct students of all ages and ability levels. Although not every student will continue on in music after they
graduate, he believes all students should be given the chance to excel in the arts and music.
Mr. De Bow is very proud of the all the hard-work and dedication he has
seen from the parents, community, administration, and students in the community of Rainsville and Plainview School. The band was also invited to represent the state of Alabama in the Spring at the Hard
Rock Live Contest in Orlando, Florida.
Mr. De Bow currently resides in Rainsville with his wife Cyndi and
their two sons, Trevor and Logan.
