The Plainview
Beginning Band starts in the sixth grade and is open to any student in 6th-9th grade. Selected students choose to
complete the minimum requirements for Marching Band in the summer between the sixth and seventh grade. The PHS Colorguard
has tryouts every Spring, and is open to any students in 8th-12th grade.
The Plainview Marching Band is comprised of
selected seventh grade students and those in grades eight through twelve.
The Plainview Band continues to set and
attain the highest standards for Marching and Concert band. Each year the Band and Colorguard compete in Marching
and Concert Band festivals and are consistently rated Superior and Best In Class.
